A month has passed since the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput that unsettled the entire nation. Remembering Sushant on his one-month death anniversary, Ankita Lokhande and Rhea Chakraborty have finally broken their silence. Each of them took to Instagram and posted about Sushant for the first time. Besides, Rhea Chakraborty has reportedly also changed her Whatsapp display picture to a selfie with Sushant. However, because of the controversy that the actor’s death has sparked, Ankita and Rhea are trolled on social media for expressing “fake sympathy” rather than pushing for the investigation of Sushant’s death and demanding justice, the reason of which is not clear yet.

Actress Ankita Lokhande, first seen with Sushant Singh Rajput in Ekta Kapoor's serial Pavitra Rishta, was reportedly devastated by Sushant’s untimely demise. Ankita and Sushant were in an alleged relationship for six years. However, later due to some differences, they reportedly broke up but still remained close friends. Since the death of Sushant, Ankita did not speak about it in public. However, she reportedly visited Sushant’s family at his apartment in Bandra and later also went to his home in Patna. Finally, after a month of his demise, Ankita has opened up on Instagram by posting a lighted Diya with a caption, “Child of God”. Reportedly, she is referring to Sushant as a child of God.
Furthermore, Rhea Chakraborty has also remembered the late actor by reportedly updating her Whatsapp DP and posting an emotional note on Instagram.
In her long Instagram post, shared with throwback pictures of her with Sushant, Rhea wrote, “ You are the one who made me believe in love, the power of it."
“You were everything a beautiful person could be, the greatest wonder that the world has seen. My words are incapable of expressing the love we have and I guess you truly meant it when you said it is beyond both of us... 30 days of losing you but a lifetime of loving you.” Thus she ends the note adding an emotional message, “Eternally connected, To infinity and beyond.” Rumour had it that the couple was going to marry in November of this year.
Trolls on Social Media
Both Ankita Lokhande and Rhea Chakraborty’s posts have gone viral on social media. There are people who sympathised with their posts and feelings, while others have trolled them for being fake and ignorant of what Sushant was going through.
"Wish people express all this and much more when their dear ones are still alive & kicking !" wrote a user on Twitter.
"It's been a month today for #SushantSinghRajput Sir, Not even one of them came out in support for him! The stars have fallen!! It's Really sad. Now they will tweet that it's been a month you're gone and fake sympathy."
Ankita is being trolled for her alleged break up with Sushant and not speaking up for him.
"Can you please now stand up and talk about Sushant’s murder? Can you please raise your voice for CBI investigation? You know that whatever happened to him was wrong so please take a stand!" wrote another user.
While Rhea's emotional post is being trolled as "drama", "fake sympathy" and "pretentious". Some Twitterati who allege that Sushant was murdered blame Rhea for being involved in it. Some have even compared the two actresses’ post and judged them on their ways of expressing grief.
"Rhea needed to post pictures with Sush and a caption to gain sympathy. Whereas Ankita knew Sush was god’s child, he loved worshiping god!" wrote a Twitterati.
In response to these trolls, some users have defended Rhea and Ankita's posts.
"These women are going through their own grief and that needs to be respected.. there is no need to bully them. Please Focus on #SushantSingh and pray that justice is served." wrote a user on Twitter
"I humbly request everyone out there to not write anything which may hurt #Ankitalokhande. Please try understanding her situation. She is with us in remembering #SSR. Let's respect her privacy, her personal life. Hope you will understand."
Reportedly, Sushant was found dead in his apartment on June 14, 2020. It was being alleged that he was battling with depression for the past six months and died by suicide. The Bandra police are investigating the case from all the possible angles and have recorded statements of around 29 people, which include Bollywood celebrities like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shekhar Kapoor, Sanjana Sanghi, Mukesh Chhabra and others.
