Alwar school gangrape case: In the Alwar district of Rajasthan, nine teachers and a principal were charged with alleged gangrape and molestation of four students at a government school. The incident took place for over a year. It came to light only when one of the survivor's father took action after his daughter refused to go to school and opened up about the alleged abuse.

The survivor alleged that the school principal and three teachers allegedly gangraped her and also accused two women teachers of filming the incident.
The father of the class ten student went to complain at school to the teacher. He alleged that the principal told him that he was closely related to a minister. The father also alleged that the accused threatened to kill him if he filed a complaint. The principal has refuted all allegations of abuse and said that he had no information about the incidents.
The investigation in the case is being carried out by the Mandhana police station. The officer there, Mukesh Yadav said that while the investigation was going on, three more students have approached them with allegations against the accused principal and teachers.
The three other survivors were from Class six, class four and class three. One of the survivors in their complaint said to the police that when they (the survivors) had complained of the incidents with the women teachers, they allegedly "lured" the girls by offering to pay their school fees and pay for the books. But no action was taken and the women teachers allegedly asked the survivors not to discuss this with anyone else.
The survivor also alleged that a women teacher took her to "the house of three teachers" where the principal was also present. There the accused teachers reportedly consumed alcohol and later took off her clothes.
The Mandhana Police Station has registered three different cases in connection with the issue. According to Yadav, as per the four statements from survivors, the school principal and nine teachers have been charged with gangrape and molestation.

Recently, the owner of a private school in Muzzafarnagar was arrested, after a case of at least 17 students being molested by him came to light. The incident took place on November 18, when the accused had allegedly asked the students stay over for the night at a nearby school for their CBSE practical test. There, the survivors, allege that they were fed sedative laced khichdi and after that molested. A case had been registered under sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act and sections 354 (outraging woman's modesty), 328 (making a person consume any poison) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
