AIIMS Doctor Rape Case: A doctor working at the All India Institute of Medical Science has alleged that one of her senior colleagues raped her. According to her, the alleged incident happened during a birthday party inside the campus. The The Delhi Police has registered a case against him.

Here are 10 things you should know about the case

  1. The accused doctor is married.
  2. He is on a run and efforts are being on to arrest him, said Delhi Police.
  3. The incident took place on September 26 during a birthday party of one of her colleagues, police said.
  4. The woman informed the police about the alleged incident on October 11, said the officials.

  7. The police registered a case under 376 (Punishment for rape) and 377 (Unnatural offences) of the Indian Penal Code at the Hauz Khas police station.
  8. They are also conducting raids at some hideouts of the accused doctor.
  9. The police also informed that the accused family was out of town on the night of the incident, as per report.
