70-Year-Old Woman Sells Paranthas To Earn A Living In Jalandhar, Diljit Dosanjh Requests People To Visit Her

She says that she offers food at reasonable price unlike the expensive hotels and restaurants where people like to visit

Actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh recently shared a video on social media of a 70-year-old woman selling food to earn a living in Jalandhar. In the video, the lady can be seen sitting at her small, makeshift stall at Jalandhar's Phagwara gate market, cooking and selling paranthas at a reasonable price. She goes on to reveal that she lost her husband and since then she has been selling food to make ends meet. Not just Dosanj, numerous social media users have reshared the video, urging people in and around Jalandhar to visit the septuagenarian's eatery.

The 70-Year-Old Woman's Ordeal

Many social media users have praised the woman for her positive attitude despite facing such difficult circumstances. Throughout the video she keeps smiling, and when asked if she is happy, she merely says, "I have to do this".

One user wrote on Instagram, "She is making bad situation better with her smile. She is extremely positive." A user on Twitter wrote, "Look at the calm and patience on her face. The kind of grit she is carrying is definitely not available with everyone. Probably her good time has come through Mr. Dosanjh. Hope Jalandhar people will support her with open heart."

In the video she says, "Kaam karde menu bade saal ho gaye ne (I have been working for many years)." One social media user has confirmed that she has been selling food for the past 15 years.

Apart from Diljit Dosanjh, famous singers like Harrdy Sandhu and Ammy Virk also shared the old lady's video on Instagram. Her story has struck the right chord with numerous social media users and many have requested people to visit her stall. A lot of people, like Dosanj himself, have promised that they will surely visit the old lady's stall.
