Veteran actor Zeenat Aman, known for her candid and inspiring presence on Instagram, had been away from the platform for a while. She recently made a comeback, opening up about her health issues and marking two years since she began sharing her thoughts online. Up next, the actor will be seen in Netflix’s upcoming series The Royals, which premieres on May 9.
“Hello From the Recovery Room”: Zeenat Aman Shares Health Update
On Friday, April 25 Zeenat shared two pictures from the hospital. In one, she’s seen pointing toward someone off-camera from her recovery room. The second photo shows her sitting up in bed with her left eye covered and a tray of food in front of her.
“Hello from the recovery room! I won’t blame you for thinking I’ve abandoned my social media aspirations. My profile has, after all, been quite silent and halfhearted of late. As the great Indian saying goes, What to do?” She wrote.
She explained the reason behind her absence from the platform. “Pending medical procedures have kept me preoccupied these past few weeks. But now that I am emerging on the other side of this experience, I’m feeling inspired to continue storytelling on Instagram,” she shared.
Aman added that her time in the hospital gave her a renewed sense of purpose. “You see, there’s nothing like the sombre, clinical cold of a hospital to remind one of what it means to be alive and have a voice! So expect more cinematic crumbs, more personal history, more fashion, more dogs and cats, and yes… most definitely more opinion.”
She even encouraged her followers to participate, “Is there a topic you want me to write about? Leave it in the comments, and I’ll certainly pick a few to dwell on.”
Aman ended her post on a cheerful note, “I’m very much looking forward to your engagement as I recuperate. Take many hugs and good wishes from your fond Aunty Z, who is in a chipper mood this evening.”
Aman had also been missing from the recent trailer launch of The Royals, however, she didn’t let that dim her enthusiasm for the project. Sharing her excitement, Zeenat said, “I find myself as passionate as ever about embracing new roles and opportunities. ‘The Royals’ has been both refreshing and creatively fulfilling. Collaborating with vibrant young talents, brimming with energy and fresh perspectives, ensured that every moment on set was lively and engaging.”
