Yellowstone follows the story of the Dutton family, in which patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner) attempts to protect his fictional Montana ranch from the outsiders. The show stars include Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly and Wes Bentley along with other actors. The show has amassed popularity since its premiere in 2018 and became one of the most watchable shows on television in 2021.
The production for Yellowstone Season 5 is likely to begin in May this year. It is also speculated that the upcoming season will feature a higher number of episodes than usual, comprising 24 episodes instead of 10. As per reports, the episodes from Yellowstone prequel 1883 will possibly air between the split of Season 5. Additionally, the second prequel to the show, 1932, is expected to release alongside the second segment of Yellowstone. 1932 will follow the story of the new generation of Dutton family which thrived during the Great Depression.
According to reports, Yellowstone Season 5 may return with new episodes around late summer since the filming will possibly begin in May. However, there is no official release date as of yet. The season 4 finale featured Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) murdering his biological father, Garrett Randall played by Will Patton.
