Yellowstone Season 5 To Be Divided In Two Segments, When Is It Releasing?

The Paramount-backed series Yellowstone has amassed a great following since its premiere in 2018. In 2021, Yellowstone was one of the most-watched cable shows of the year. The American series recently concluded its fourth season—which is currently streaming on Peacock—and are anticipating the release of season five. Starring Kevin Costner, Wes Bentley, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Gil Birmingham and others, the production for season five is expected to begin in May 2022.

The show follows the exploits of the Dutton family, who own the largest ranch in Montana. Kevin Costner plays patriarch John Dutton while Kelly stars as his daughter, Bentley and Luke Grimes appear as his son in the show.

Reports are suggestive that the latest season of the Midwestern drama’s season 5 will be longer than usual. Speculations are rife that the new season will have 14 episodes unlike the usual 10. The last season will be divided into two segments of seven episodes each the reports suggest. The split will be beneficial for the show-makers as they can stay in momentum.

Reportedly, the additional episodes of the prequel 1883 are expected to air during the break between two segments. It is also speculated that segment one will be out during summer while the other segment will return during autumn. Alongside segment two, the second prequel series 1932 will be aired as well which will be following the new generation of Duttons through the era of prohibition and the Great Depression.

The viewers are hoping that season five will conclude after providing resolutions of the cliffhangers of season 4 of the show. The viewers are curious to know about Jamie’s political future, Warner’s moves against Beth and Dutton land and Kayce’s mysterious vision quest among others which are expected to be concluded in Season 5.

Most of the main cast is expected to return in the latest season of the Paramount Network series including Kevin Costner, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Luke Grimes, Wes Bentley among others. It is also being suggested that guest stars Jen Landon and Kathryn Kelly will be promoted to the regular cast in season 5.
