Recalling the demands of her role, Yami Gautam disclosed that the film required her to perform several action sequences, for which she underwent rigorous training. She elaborated that completing her scenes wasn't challenging as she discovered her pregnancy when only the dubbing part remained.

Yami Gautam On Filming In Pregnancy

She said, "There was rigorous training that was involved for the film. You want to be cautious, and careful and I am thankful to all the doctors who were supervising this secretly. But luckily, I had only the talkie portions left to shoot. So we could manage. But this felt surreal because the baby was also a part of it."

She added, "It was challenging. It was mentally draining too. I could write a thesis on it. There are so many questions, the firsts are always challenging. Suppose you ask me about motherhood and everything coming together. In that case, I really don't know what I would have done had Aditya not been there by my side, Lokesh bhayiyaa (Dhar) (brother-in-law), and everyone."

Drawing inspiration from her own mother's resilience, Gautam acknowledged the strength of Indian women, remarking on their ability to navigate through demanding circumstances. She shared, "Some of the inspiration also came from how I saw my mother work her way through. We Indian women are stronger than we give ourselves credit for."

Her husband, Aditya Dhar, echoed her sentiments, expressing excitement about their impending parenthood. He humorously likened their journey to the tale of Abhimanyu from Indian mythology, emphasising the profound connection between their child and significant events such as the abrogation of Article 370.

The couple, who exchanged vows in 2021, joyfully shared the news of their pregnancy during the trailer launch of their film, Article 370. Take a look at the trailer here.
