The young trans artist Jay Anand is the name behind the music of Looop Lapeta’s title track. Anand  also released one independent album and two single tracks before he started working in Bollywood. He has also been a part of an associate program at the Musicians Institute of Los Angeles.

Jay Anand often uploads his singing sessions and videos on his social media account. He is also an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Who is Jay Anand?

Jay Anand is a songwriter, singer, acoustic guitarist and educator. He got involved with music at an early age. He completed his graduation in India and pursued music for his post-grad. Anand holds a degree in Performance (Guitar) from Musicians Institute, Los Angeles. Since completing his post-graduation in 2016, he has released one independent album and two single tracks while also touring around India, Thailand and the USA. Through his genres, Anand likes to express human relationships and vulnerabilities.

Before working on Looop Lapeta track, Jay Anand also worked on a few ads along with Sidhant Mago and Mayank Mehra, his co-singers in Looop Lapeta soundtracks. Anand is featured as the singer of Looop Lapeta title track while its music is by Sidhant Mago and Mayank Mehra. The lyrics of the song have also been given by Mago.

Anand advocates awareness around gender identity through his Instagram videos. Amassing a following of 2,969 followers on Instagram, the young musician also has a YouTube channel where he puts his works and videos. According to his social media, Jay Anand is in a relationship with Jesmin Ahmed.
