Vaani Kapoor & Ajay Devgn Raid 2 Release: All About The Film Here

Actor Vaani Kapoor is gearing up to star alongside Ajay Devgn in Raid 2, the anticipated sequel. The movie commenced filming on January 6 in Mumbai, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also directed the first instalment of the film. The movie, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under T-Series and Panorama Studios, is set to be shot extensively in Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

The highly anticipated sequel, Raid 2, has started filming with Ajay Devgn and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles. Images from the movie's opening ceremony, known as the 'mahurat', have been released, showcasing Vaani Kapoor and Ravi Teja participating by giving the ceremonial 'mahurat clap' to mark the beginning of the film. The shooting commenced on January 6 in Mumbai.

Ajay Devgn also took to Instagram to share the exciting news. Expressing gratitude to Ravi Teja for gracing the event, Devgn captioned the image, signalling the start of a new case and a new beginning.

About Raid

The first film, Raid, released in 2018, featured Ajay Devgn, Saurabh Shukla, and Ileana D'Cruz. It depicted a true story about an Income Tax Department raid conducted in the 1980s, with Ileana portraying Devgn's wife. The initial instalment of the film drew inspiration from a genuine income-tax raid carried out by officers of the Indian Revenue Service during the 1980s. It showcased Devgn portraying an upright income tax officer conducting a raid on a powerful figure in Lucknow. The movie garnered praise from reviewers and was a hit at the box office.

Vaani Kapoor's Upcoming Projects

In the upcoming months, Vaani Kapoor will be leading two distinct projects. One of them is Maddock Films' Sarvagunn Sampanna, set in the 90s, where Kapoor plays a character resembling a porn star. This film promises a comedic yet insightful narrative, blending humour and social commentary and presenting a unique perspective on modern-day issues with a nostalgic touch.

Additionally, Vaani Kapoor is set to star in a gritty crime thriller for Yash Raj Films' OTT platform titled Mandala Murders. Raid 2 will be released theatrically on 15th November 2024.
