Manan Rawat will co-direct the series after serving as an associate director on several YRF films. Gopi Puthran will begin filming Mandala Murders in Uttar Pradesh tomorrow before travelling to Delhi and ultimately Mumbai to complete the project. The team will film in Prayagraj, Lucknow, and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. The big-budget production will thus have a big canvas and a grand scale since it will be shot in five different locations throughout India.

This multi-season drama is part of YRF's ambitious OTT schedule, which already includes the highly anticipated The Railway Men, which is based on the terrible 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy. This series, starring R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyendu, and Babil Khan, is a tribute to the courageous railway employees who rescued dozens of lives on that fateful night of devastation and misery.
