Pooja Bhatt on Saif Ali Khan Walking Out of Hospital Post-Attack
Saif Ali Khan was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday, January 21, following the attack at his Bandra residence. Videos shared by paparazzi captured the actor showcasing determination as he walked out of the hospital unassisted, choosing to forgo a wheelchair.
The visuals sparked discussions online, with trolls questioning his ability to walk so soon after his injuries. However, Pooja Bhatt came to Saif's defense, offering a sharp response to critics.
In a conversation with ETimes, Bhatt addressed the backlash, stating, "The graphic details of the stabbing that emerged in the media painted an image in people's heads about Saif's physical state. That image was perhaps not in sync with the visuals of seeing him walk out of the hospital on his own two feet."
She further highlighted the hypocrisy in the public's reaction. "But don't these very people forget that they lauded him for walking himself into the hospital as well? A man who checks himself into a hospital in a wounded, traumatized condition surely has the grit to walk out of the hospital on his own. We should be applauding this instead of resorting to being conspiracy theorists," Bhatt added.

Paratha, Waterbottle, UPI: Clues That Led to Saif Ali Khan’s Attacker
The Mumbai Police on Sunday, Jan 19 unveiled the details of how Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national, allegedly attacked actor Saif Ali Khan on January 16. The accused gained access to Khan's residence on the 12th floor of the Satguru Sharan building in Bandra with the intention of theft.
According to the police, Islam had been in the vicinity until 7 a.m. on the day of the incident, sleeping at a bus stop. "Our probe has found that he took the stairs to the seventh-eighth floor, then entered the duct area, climbed to the 12th floor using a pipe, and broke into the actor's flat through a bathroom window," a police official stated. After entering the bathroom, he was spotted by Khan's staff, triggering the subsequent events that led to the attack.
Police sources revealed to The Indian Express that fingerprints lifted from the crime scene, including the bathroom window, duct shaft, and ladder, are among the crucial pieces of evidence to secure a conviction. After the attack, Islam had fled to Dadar via Bandra station and then to Worli. CCTV footage from these locations, along with the UPI transaction details provided by the stall owner, played a significant role in tracking down the accused.
The investigation also uncovered that Islam had made a UPI transaction via GPay for a paratha and water at a stall near Century Mill in Worli, which provided a key lead. Tracing the UPI payment led police to Islam's mobile number, subsequently locating him in a dense mangrove cluster near a labor camp in Thane.
