Priyanka Chopra's Mom On Why Actor Missed Parineeti's Wedding

Raghav Chadha and Parineeti Chopra have officially tied the knot, marking the union of the AAP MP and the Bollywood actor in a Udaipur ceremony on September 24. The event saw the presence of close family members and dear friends from both the film and political spheres, except Priyanka Chopra.

However, Madhu Chopra, Priyanka Chopra's mother, graced Parineeti's wedding with her presence. In response to queries from the paparazzi at the airport on why the actor missed the wedding, Madhu Chopra explained that Priyanka couldn't attend because she was busy with work.

When asked about her experience at the wedding, she expressed that it was "very good." Further inquiring about Parineeti's appearance in her wedding attire, Madhu praised her, saying, "She is naturally beautiful, and she looked even more pretty."

Sources indicate that Priyanka Chopra initially attempted to adjust her schedule and had a plan in place to attend the wedding. However, unforeseen last-minute commitments prevented her from doing so.

Earlier, Priyanka Chopra had hinted that she may not attend her cousin and fellow actor Parineeti Chopra's wedding in Udaipur.

Instagram Post That Dropped Hints

On Saturday morning, Priyanka took to Instagram Stories and shared an old photo of Parineeti Chopra enjoying a drink outdoors. Parineeti was dressed in a black top, a multi-coloured skirt, and a hat, and she had a happy expression with her eyes closed.

In her post, Priyanka wrote, "I hope you are as happy and content as this on your big day, little one... always wishing you so much love ❤️ #newbeginnings @parineetichopra @raghavchadha88."

The lavish destination wedding was scheduled to take place on September 24 in Udaipur.  Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha recently shared the eagerly awaited snapshots from their grand Udaipur wedding that was held on Sunday.

The Sister Duo

In May, following the engagement announcement, Priyanka expressed her excitement about the upcoming wedding on Instagram. Parineeti responded in the comments, saying, "Mimi did, bridesmaid's duties coming up."

Priyanka and Parineeti share a close bond and often refer to each other by their nicknames, Mimi and Tisha. In May, Priyanka travelled from Los Angeles to Delhi to attend Parineeti's engagement to Raghav.

Currently, Priyanka's husband and singer Nick Jonas is on tour performing in Washington with the Jonas Brothers. Priyanka, who seems to be in Los Angeles with Malti Marie, has attended some of the concerts on the tour schedule, including the one at LA's Dodger Stadium.
