Poonam Pandey husband arrested for assault: Model and actor Poonam Pandey's husband Sam Bombay (Sam Ahmed) was arrested by the Mumbai police on Monday evening after she filed a complaint of assault against him. This is the second time Pandey has filed a case against her husband. The actor has been hospitalised with face and hand injuries.

Poonam Pandey has accused her husband of assault and was reportedly hospitalised after filing the complaint at the Bandra Police Station. Mumbai police's statement on the ongoing case says, "Actress Ponam Pandey's husband Sam Bombay was arrested yesterday in Mumbai after the actress complained that he assaulted her. Poonam Pandey was admitted to a hospital: Mumbai Police."

According to the Indian Express report, Pandey was admitted to a hospital with injuries on her face and hands.
The police are still investigating the case and no other information was shared. Although this is not the first time Pandey has levied accusations of domestic violence against Sam Bombay. She had filed a complaint of molestation, assault and threatening against her husband days after the duo's wedding, last year in Goa. The Goa police had booked Bombay, who was later released on bail the very next day after the arrest.
According to media reports, Sam Bombay was charged with Section 353, which deals with causing hurt and insult, 506, which deals with criminal intimidation and 354, which deals with outraging modesty of the Indian Penal Code.
The couple had announced the engagement on July 27, 2020, with Poonam Pandey sharing a picture with Sam Pandey on her social media feed. The wedding took place on September 10 and the complaint was filed after a few days. At the time Poonam Pandey said that she was going to end the marriage, however, after they reconciled, she said, "which marriage does not have its ups and downs."

Sam Bombay is a film director, producer and editor who shot to social media fame after Poonam Pandey announced that the duo was dating. He is also an ad-filmmakers and has worked with celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Tamannaah Bhatiya, cricketer Yuvraj Singh and others.
