OTT Releases Diwali Weekend: The festival of lights is here. If you are someone who finds a day off as an excuse to catch up on movies and binge-watch shows while snacking on your sofa, the OTT calendar is loaded with content.

From light-hearted flicks to action-packed drama, the OTT platforms are still coming up with new releases from time to time. Even though the cinema theatres have started to open to the public, we will need some time to get comfortable in the big dark room.
Here are five OTT releases coming up this Diwali weekend:
Akkad Bakkad Rafu Chakkar
Platform: Amazon Prime Video
Mandira Bedi produced and directional of her late husband Akkar Bakkad Rafu Chakkar is all set to release on November 3. Actor Vickey Arora has been starred in the film who plans to open India's first fake bank and cons people into depositing their money. The heist ends with them running away with the money. The drama is written by Aman Khan and will be Kaushal’s last work as a director. The show stars Anuj Rampal, Vicky Arora as lead, along with Swati Semwal, Mohan Agashe, Shishir Sharma and Manish Chaudhari.

Abhimanyu Dassani and Sanya Malhotra starrer is a much-talked-about film because of its unique plot exploring long-distance marriage. The rom-com will narrate the story of a married couple who are separated by long-distance. Sundereshwar and Meenakshi are in an arranged marriage. Dassani’s character moves to Bangalore as he gets a job and Malhotra’s character is an engineer working at tech company and stays with her in-laws. The couple stays connected on messages and video calls. The film has been produced by Karan Johar and has been directed by Vivek Soni. The same director helmed the films such as Hasee Toh Phasee, Shandaar and Trapped.
Sridevi Soda Centre
Anandhi starrer Sridevi Soda Centre will release on November 5, 2021. The film has been directed by Karuna Kumar and has been produced by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy under 70mm Entertainments banner. The official synopsis of the film says, "A man falls in love with a woman who runs a soda center. The couple hold strong despite the pressures of the caste system."
Jai Bhim

Creating buzz ever since its production days, this Suriya starrer film was released on November 2. Jai Bhim is written and directed by journalist-turned-filmmaker TJ Gnanavel of Kootathil Oruthan fame. It boasts of an impressive supporting cast, including Rajisha Vijayan and Prakash Raj. In addition to acting in it, Suriya has also bankrolled the film under his production banner 2D Entertainment.
