The newly released trailer of Hiccups & Hookups featured Lara Dutta playing the lead role of a single mother. The show is going to have Prateik Babbar and Shinnova in pivotal roles.

Judging by the trailer, the upcoming show which will also mark the debut of Lara Dutta on digital streaming platforms is going to be about dysfunctional families, a single mother's sexual desires and family members who are not shy talking about intimate issues.
Hiccups And Hookups Trailer:
The trailer opens with Prateik Babbar's character reading out loud the description of Dutta's dating app profile and telling her how it looks more like the details in an FIR. Lara Dutta's character named Vasudha has a peculiar teen daughter. Called Kay in the trailer, she does not seem bothered while romancing guys in her house despite her mother's presence. Vasudha too gets caught by her daughter in a comprising state with another guy.
The show has been directed by Kunal Kohli. While speaking to the media about the new concept narrated in the show, he said that much like relationships families are of all kinds. He said that most of us have the idea of perfect families where certain discussions are avoided with parents. He said, "Here’s a series about modern-day relationships and how layered & complicated they are. The series showcases family members who talk about everything under the sun - from breakfasts to sexual encounters. I would call it an honest depiction of a modern-day family and frankly, a lot of modern-day families are capable of hosting honest discussions about the most intimate details of their lives.”
The main lead of the show, Lara Dutta also shared the poster on her social media profile. In the caption, she wrote, "When nothing goes fine, you gotta have some wine! Aur Rao family mein, craziness ki there’s no end-line!! Kya baat hai! Kya baat hai! Am I the best or am I the bestest?" According to the makers, the show is going to stream on Lionsgate Play from November 26. According to reports, the show is the first Indian original series by the said OTT platform.
Apart from the main leads, the show also has Meera Chopra, Ayn Zoya, Khalid Siddiqui, Divya Seth and Nassar Abdullah as part of the cast.
