Recent reports suggest that the celebrity couple has already filed for divorce. The reality TV star is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their children. Kim Kardashian-Kanye West are parents to North West, 7, Saint West, 5, Chicago West, 3, and Psalm West, 20 months.

Kardashian, who is training to be a social justice lawyer, and West tied the knot in May 2014. Earlier, Kim had a brief marriage with music producer Damon Thomas and her second marriage with basketball player Kris Humphries lasted for 72 days.

Kim shot to fame after the reality show on her family, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, aired on television. Time magazine in 2015 called her one of its 100 most influential people. She was also closely associated with celebrity Paris Hilton.

  1. The KKW Beauty CEO is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s 4 kids. According to a source quoted by TMZ, Kim “totally trusts Kanye with their kids”. 
  2. As per report, Kim Kardashian has divorce lawyer Laura Wasser on “retainer” since last year. 
  3. The couple reportedly split up due to “irreconcilable differences”. A source was reported saying, “It’s gotten to the point where they haven’t spent time together as a married couple in months.
  4. In 2020, Kim Kardashian publicly spoke about Kanye West’s “bipolar disorder”. "He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bipolar disorder," she wrote in an Instagram story. 
  5. Kim and Kanye’s divorce speculation surfaced after the latter’s controversial statements about abortion of North West, their eldest daughter, in July 2020.
  6. Kanye West’s campaign rally in South Carolina on Sunday drew ire as he made bizarre claims about abolitionist Harriet Tubman’s legacy. Consequently, he also went on to reveal that he had wanted to abort his daughter, and had a teary breakdown.
  7. Previously, Kanye also tweeted about wanting to divorce Kim. “I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the Warldolf for prison reform," he wrote in the tweet which was deleted minutes later.
  8. In another deleted tweet, the rapper accused his wife of trying to “lock” him. “Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughters life yesterday,” the tweet read. 
  9. According to TMZ, that “Kimye” (Kim and Kanye) had a prenuptial agreement and discussions on a property settlement were completed.
  10. Also, the final season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians reportedly would feature the rift between Kim and Kanye. As the couple filed the divorce papers a month before the March 18 premiere of the last installment.
