Jwala Gutta said her initiative is aimed at providing milk for babies who are left without mothers, as well as premature or critically ill infants in hospitals. Netizens have praised her for this initiative. She shared a post on X that read, "Breast milk saves lives. For premature and sick babies, donor milk can be life-changing. If you're able to donate, you could be a hero to a family in need. Learn more, share the word, and support milk banks!"

Breastmilk donation is the act of mothers giving their excess milk to a milk bank, providing life-saving nutrition to vulnerable infants. This is particularly crucial for premature babies, whose immature digestive systems and underdeveloped immunity make them highly susceptible to serious illnesses like necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC).

Donated breastmilk, rich in easily digestible nutrients and vital antibodies, drastically reduces this risk. For mothers who cannot produce enough milk, or for adoptive families, donor milk is a critical alternative.

The process is rigorously controlled, involving thorough donor screening and milk pasteurization, to ensure that every drop is safe and beneficial. By donating, mothers give the gift of health and a stronger start to babies who need it most
