Aamir Khan has officially unveiled the trailer of his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, offering a joyful and emotional peek into the world of specially-abled children and their coach. It is the official Hindi remake of the 2018 Spanish film Campeones, but also a spiritual sequel to Khan’s much-loved 2007 film Taare Zameen Par.

While Taare Zameen Par focused on dyslexia, Sitaare Zameen Par will highlight the stories of children with Down syndrome. Carrying the tagline "Sabka Apna Apna Normal", the film highlights inclusion and self-acceptance in a way that is both touching and entertaining.

In the three-minute trailer, Aamir Khan plays a passionate basketball coach guiding a team of children with special needs. As the trailer unfolds, it becomes clear the film is not just about sports but also about understanding, emotions, and laughter. Genelia Deshmukh plays Aamir’s love interest, adding charm to the heartfelt story.

The film introduces a fresh set of faces, including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar — all playing the spirited basketball team. Their on-screen journey looks both heartwarming and energetic.

The film’s screenplay is written by Divy Nidhi Sharma and film's directed by RS Prasanna, known for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The music is composed by the popular trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and the lyrics are written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Sitaare Zameen Par is backed by Aamir Khan Productions and is set to hit theatres on June 20, 2025.

More About Sitaare Zameen Par

Previously, Aamir Khan revealed that he discovered a heartfelt story centred around Down syndrome, intending to sensitively portray the experiences of individuals dealing with the condition. The actor, who is committed to creating an impact with his films, aims to fosters equality and understanding for those affected by the syndrome.

In a previous interview with News18, Khan elaborated on the thematic continuity between the two films, stating, "But the theme is the same. That's why we kept this name very thoughtfully. We all have flaws, we all have weaknesses, but we all also have something special, so we are taking forward this theme, but this time, the character of the special child Ishaan in that film—my character helps that character in 'Taare Zameen Par'. In 'Sitare Zameen Par', those nine boys, who have their own issues, help me. It's the opposite."
