Films Releasing in November 2021: The festive season is upon us and the cinema world has offering back to back digital and theatre releases in India and all over the world.

As the COVID-19 situation seems to be improving in the country, one can think of getting the theatre experience after almost two years since the pandemic hit the world. That is of course considering if we take every precaution.

For those who do not feel ready to sit among strangers to watch films in dim-lit rooms, the OTT platforms are also loaded with fresh releases in the coming months. From action-packed drama to lighthearted romantic comedies, here are seven upcoming films set for November release:

Sooryavanshi

The Akshay Kumar starrer directed by Rohit Shetty is all set to release in theatres on the occasion of Diwali on November 5. The star-studded action film has Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif and Ajay Devgn. Akshay Kumar will play the main lead character of a Deputy Superintendent of Police. Katrina Kaif will essay the role of his love interest in the film. The makers recently released the first song of the film titled Aila Re Aila which garnered massive attention from the fans. The next number titled Mera Yaar is reported to release on October 27

Bunty Aur Babli 2

The famous Bollywood movie starring Rani Mukherjee and Abhishek Bachchan is set to make its comeback in an all-new version. The trailer of the film dropped on Monday and showed glimpses of Rani Mukherjee and Saif Ali Khan (who has reprised the role of Abhishek Bachchan). The duo is not alone this time as the new kids on the block: Siddharth Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh are also starred in the film. Produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj Films, Bunty Aur Babli 2 has been directed by Varun Sharma. It is said to drop in theatres on November 19.

Eternals 

The first Marvel franchise movie directed by Academy Award winner director Chloe Zhao is reported to hit the theatres on November 5 this year. The film has multiple stars cast such as Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, Kit Harington and many others. The film's official synopsis says, "The Eternals, a race of immortal beings with superhuman powers who have secretly lived on Earth for thousands of years, reunite to battle the evil Deviants." Media reports have shared a glimpse from the movie where Richard Madden's character gets married in a Hindu wedding ceremony.

Red Notice 

Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson starrer has been making news since it was announced earlier this year. The film based on an action-comedy genre will also have Gal Gadot play a pivotal role. Reynolds and Johnsson will hunt her down as she essays the role of a thief with a Red Notice issued in her name.  The film will first hit select theatres on November 5 and then will start streaming on Netflix from November 12 this year. The film also stars an Indian-origin actor named Ritu Arya who will portray the role of Dr. Megan Sharma.

The film's trailer, The Rock is heard saying, "Every city, every heist. Now that you've been tagged with red notices, you've become the world's most wanted criminals. And I'm the only one who can bring you in."

The film is based on the life of real-life soldier Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. The film will narrate how the war hero saved the lives of hostages before he was martyred during the terrorist attack at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel in Mumbai on November 26, 2008. Actor Adivi Sesh and Shobita Dhulipala are starred in lead roles. The release date of the film was earlier scheduled to be in July but it got postponed due to the ongoing wave of the Coronavirus. The official date of release date has not been announced yet but the film is expected to the screens in November this year.

Meenakshi Sundareshwar

The official trailer starring Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dassani was released earlier this month. The film is all set for the Diwali release. The film explores long-distance marriages. As per the official plot details, Dassani gets a job in Bengaluru while Sanya stays back in Madurai with his parents. The trailer sheds light on the journey of the couple as they learn to adjust to an unconventional married life. Vivek Soni had directed the film which is set in Tamil culture.

Dhamaka 

The Netflix film starring Kartik Aaryan is set to release on November 19 this year. Aaryan plays the role of a TV news channel anchor. In the recently released trailer, the main lead of the film was seen in two different looks appearing on a channel named 'Bharosa'. The film has been directed by Ram Madhvani and is touted to be a cinematic take on the state of journalism in India.

Chhorii 

The caption accompanying Chhorii‘s teaser reveals that it is set deep in the heartlands of India. “Chhorii is the story of a modern, young couple, Sakshi (Nushrratt Bharuccha) and Hemant. Sakshi is eight months pregnant with her first child when the couple, forced out of their home, escapes from the city and seeks refuge in a house located deep inside sugarcane fields.”

Apart from Nushrratt Bharuccha, the film also features Mita Vasisht, Saurabh Goyal, Rajesh Jais, Pallavi Ajay and Yaaneea Bharadwaj in key roles. The film will release on November 26 on Amazon Prime Video.
