Annabelle Sethupathi Release Date and Time: Why do ghosts still haunt a palace in 2021? Taapsee Pannu and Vijay Sethupathi will be answering this question via their multilingual horror-comedy Annabelle Sethupathi tomorrow. The film will release in Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu and Hindi. The Hindi titled of the film is  Annabelle Rathore.  

After almost two years, the film will mark Taapsee Pannu’s return to Tamil cinema. It stars Vijay Sethupathi, Yogi Babu, Radikaa Sarathkumar and Rajendra Prasad in prominent roles.  The film promises to take the viewers on a hilarious adventure with a woman entering a mysterious royal palace.

Annabelle Sethupathi is set in a haunted palace. The story unfolds over two time periods. In 1948, King Sethupathi constructs an enchanting palace as a gift for his fiance Annabelle. The roles of Sethupathi and Annabelle are played by Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee Pannu. After a time leap, we see Pannu re-enter the palace that is now lying haunted and vacant, with an aim to rob it.

The film marks the first collaboration between popular southern actor Vijay Sethpathi, who won a National Award for his performance in the 2019 film Super Delux, and Taapsee Pannu. Pannu was last seen in Haseen Dillruba, a romantic thriller that had an OTT release. Sethupathi has films like Master and Tughlaq Durbar under his belt. He also featured in the Edhiri segment of Tamil anthology Navarasa.

Annabelle Sethupathi Release Date

Annabelle Sethupathi is set to premiere on Disney+Hotstar on September 17 worldwide. Anyone with a valid subscription to the OTT platform can stream it from the said date. The film is helmed by Deepak Sundarajan and produced by Sudhan Sundaram and G Jayaram.

It will be streaming on Disney+Hotstar from 12 pm onwards. This could be because Hotstar is seeing another big release on the said date. Telugu thriller Maestro, starring Nithin and Tamnnaah is also coming to the platform on September 17. The film is a remake of hit Hindi thriller Andhadhun that featured Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu in lead.

Pannu's fancy fedoras and floral dresses have caught the attention of the viewers. Vijay Sethupathi only makes an appearance in the second half. The total run time of the film is around two hours and 14 minutes. It is drama set in a palace about ghosts and incarnations. Even though the film tries to raise curiosity the film has however, failed to impress the Hindi speaking audience in it's dubbed version.
