Ankita Lokhande Announces Next Project After Bigg Boss 17: Details

Just days after the conclusion of Bigg Boss 17, Ankita Lokhande is gearing up to make a comeback on the silver screen. The actor is set to appear in the upcoming film Swatantra Veer Savarkar alongside Randeep Hooda. Taking to her social media platform, Lokhande announced that the movie is scheduled to release on March 22, 2024. She expressed her excitement for this "new chapter" following her stint on Bigg Boss 17, describing it as "extra special."

Swatantra Veer Savarkar is a biopic based on the life of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Notably, this film marks Randeep Hooda's directorial debut. However, the project faced legal issues last year when Hooda asserted full ownership of the film, causing a dispute. Additionally, Mahesh Manjrekar, initially set to direct the biopic, claimed to have departed from the project due to Hooda's interference.

Following her eviction from Bigg Boss 17, Ankita Lokhande penned a heartfelt note expressing her disappointment at not making it to the top three. Her elimination even surprised host Salman Khan, who regarded her as his potential winner. 

In her note, Ankita reflected on the challenges and triumphs she has faced in her career, expressing gratitude for the support of her fans and the opportunities that lie ahead. Here’s what she wrote, "Ek journey jo shuru hui thi Pavitra Rishta se, ab aur bhi zyada yaadgaar bann gayi ‘Rishton Wali Ladki’ ke pehechaan se! Mere liye haar ya jeet utni matter nahi karti, jitna aapka support karta hai aur aapke hi pyaar ne yaha tak pohochaya hai. Ofcourse there were ups and downs...few left, few stayed but you guys stood by."
