Amy Jackson's Reaction to the Trolling

In response to the trolling, Amy Jackson shared her thoughts in an interview with The Times of India. She expressed her admiration for Cillian Murphy, stating, "I'm over the moon. He's chiselled perfection." She even playfully mentioned preparing for a Peaky Blinders comeback with the character's signature flat cap and Brummie (Birmingham) accent.

The actor addressed the trolls saying it's "quite sad", emphasising her dedication to her acting career. She revealed that she had been filming a project in the UK, which required her to undergo a transformation for her character. She noted that while male actors are often praised for drastic physical changes, women who alter their appearance with unique hair and makeup may face online criticism.

I have worked with male co-stars who had to drastically change their look for a film, and they were highly praised for it. The moment a woman does it through unusual hair and makeup that doesn't conform to their idealism of beauty, they think they have the right to troll you.
