Meet Aashi, Pankaj Tripathi’s Daughter Makes Acting Debut With Music Video

Aashi Tripathi, daughter of Pankaj Tripathi and Mridula Tripathi, has taken her first step into the entertainment industry with her acting debut in the music video Rang Daaro. While Aashi has mostly stayed away from the limelight, her appearance in the video has already caught attention.

Pankaj Tripathi, known for his powerful performances, shared his emotions on seeing his daughter on screen for the first time. Expressing his pride, he said, “Seeing Aashi on screen was an emotional and proud moment for both of us. She has always been passionate about performing arts, and watching her deliver such natural expressions in her very first project was truly special. If this is her first step, I can’t wait to see where her journey takes her.”

Aashi, 22, has remained away from showbiz and social media for a long time. Unlike many star kids, she had not been active on any public platform until recently. She officially joined Instagram in February 2025, giving a glimpse into her interests. Her profile gives hints that she is more interested in reading and travelling.

In earlier interviews, Tripathi, who grew up surrounded by nature in his hometown in Bihar, admitted that he tried to give Aashi a similar upbringing. He shared, "I made sure that I live away from the city, so she gets to be close to greenery and the sea." 

In 2022, Tripathi also openly shared that his daughter had no aspirations to become an actor. He said, "As of now she has no plans to enter Bollywood. Right now she is studying. I haven't seen the future yet but will see when the time comes. For now, I want her to study hard and play sports. But she writes really well, she is very good at literature and is at the top of her class. Also, she reads a lot, but for now, she hasn't shown any interest. Will see what happens in the future."

While it remains unclear whether Aashi will take up acting as a full-time career, her latest song Rang Daaro is a romantic melody sung by Mainak Bhattacharya and Sanjana Ramnarayan, with music composed by Abhinav R. Kaushik. The video beautifully captures the essence of love and features Aashi in a graceful and elegant look.
