As the COVID-19 crisis is worsening in the country, the government's decision to provide vaccines for all adults has been called a "liberalised and accelerated Phase 3 strategy of COVID-19 vaccination" drive.

Vaccine Program For All Adults, Here's how Bollywood celebs reacted to the news:

Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan took to her Instagram stories and wrote: "Let's do this India..." The announcement came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed to have worked hard over the past year in order to get Indians vaccinated in the shortest possible time. "India is vaccinating people at world record pace and we will continue this with even greater momentum," she added.

Kapoor's Veere Di Wedding co-star Swara Bhasker tweeted, "Finally! Yes thank you!" On Monday, she was worried and informed fans that her mother and cook have tested positive for the virus as well.

"It’s come home. My mother and our cook have both tested positive. We are all isolating at home in #Delhi. Double mask up and stay at home people," she had earlier tweeted saying that she is isolating in Delhi.

Actor Alia Bhatt, who recently tested negative for the virus, also took to her Instagram stories and shared the good news with a strong hand emoji. While Katrina Kaif wrote "To end COVID-19" on her Instagram Stories.

Malaika Arora, who also recovered from the virus, reacted to the news saying, "Let's do this India..." Huma Qureshi asked all her followers, “Please guys stay safe” while sharing the information on social media. Singer Sona Mohapatra called it the best news and wrote, "I just read that 18 plus years to be eligible for vaccination from May 1, 2021."

Among other celebs, Jacqueline Fernandez, Ananya Panday, Mithila Palkar, Arpita Khan Sharma, and Mira Rajput also deemed it important to share the news with millions of their fans.

Currently, India has more than 20,24,629 active cases and as for the vaccines, according to a report by COVID-19.org 12,38,52,566 have been administered.
