With a total of 2,535 students receiving their respective degrees today at the Visva-Bharati University, the Prime Minister in his speech said that there should be no boundary for creativity. Additionally, he also said that ‘India cannot be ‘Atmanirbhar’ without self-confidence of its daughters.’

Key highlights of PM Modi's speech at Visva Bharati University Convocation-

  • An ‘Atmanirbhar’ India is not possible without the self-confidence of its daughters.
  • Whether to be a part of the problem or the solution is always a choice we make, but every action and decision is directed towards solutions when you keep Maa Bharati first.
  • The focus is not ideology, it is the mindset. Many educated people are spreading terror and violence in the country, whereas, on the other hand, there are people who are risking their own lives and working at the hospitals to save people from a pandemic like COVID-19.
  • “There is no boundary for creativity” – this sole thought led Gurudev to lay the foundation of Visva Bharati University.
  • Knowledge, thoughts, and skills should not be frozen, they are progressive and can keep on evolving. With knowledge and power comes responsibility. Your knowledge is not alone yours, but a legacy your future generations will carry on.
  • Your knowledge builds a society, it helps to build a nation. Whatever you do, it is an outcome of a positive or negative mindset, and there is scope for both of them. The path is open for both of them. It is in our hands to decide if we want to be a part of the problem or the solution.
