An Instagram reel of a woman and her dog doing yoga, or doga together has gone viral. In the video, Secret, the Australian Shepherd follows her owner Mary’s every step.

The viral video was uploaded on the my_aussie_gal Instagram account. It was captioned “Some more simple morning Doga.” Secret not only rolled out the yoga mat before they began, but she also mimicked all of the different yoga poses. The Instagram reel was watched nearly 2 million times before it was shared on Twitter.

Mary wrote in the caption that “Secret has been working on the last pose for a while now, but I think she finally got the hang of it!”

Twitter account Buitengebieden, self-described as the “positive side of Twitter” shared the video of the dog doing yoga. The former professional basketball player Rex Chapman joined in and shared the video from his Twitter account.

According to the Instagram account, Mary got service dog Secret in 2015 and has been teaching her tricks since then. A user commented on the post and asked “How long did it take for you to teach that?” to which Mary replied that “It’s hard to say since each move was taught separately at a different time.” She then added that they have been doing yoga together for more than 5 years.

Social Media Reactions

People commented on the Instagram post that they were “obsessed with this dog” and praised Mary for her abilities as a trainer. A Twitter user replied that “I don’t know if this woman is a brilliant trainer, that’s a brilliant dog, or both, but I am in awe of their videos”.

Some Twitter users joked that Secret the dog was better at yoga than them, while other Twitter users said their dog would bite them if they tried to do the same.

Television producer and writer Nicolas Falacci replied to Rex Chapman’s “This dog is actually doing yoga” with “Why do you think they call it the “Downward Facing Dog?”
