At a wedding in Chhattisgarh, the bride and groom were all set to make a grand entry on a swing decorated with fireworks. However, due to a technical fault, the harness broke and the swing came down along with the couple. It took seconds for the dream to turn into horror, fortunately, no one was seriously injured.
The video that is circulating on the web is reportedly from the marriage of a couple in Raipur. The swing entrance was planned by the wedding planners. However, the harness broke from one side and the swing reportedly rotated 90 degrees before coming down and the couple had a fall.
The Bride And Groom Fall From Swing
The viral video starts with a stage performance where the bride and groom stand on the swing which is stationary. Slowly, the swing starts rising and the fireworks are lit up. The swing was still in mid-air when the harness breaks from one side and the bride and groom fall from the swing. The relatives and guests are seen rushing to the stage to help the couple in the viral video.
Reportedly, the couple fell from a height of 12 feet but fortunately, none of them was hurt. It took 30 minutes to stabilise the situation and after that, the bride and groom continued the wedding ceremony.
The wedding planner company that was responsible for the preparation for the wedding took responsibility for the accident. The harness breaking was a technical fault on the part of the company and they accepted it, reported DNA.
Indian weddings are getting trendier and more grand day by day. It is really popular to make a lavish entrance on chariots and swings. However, one thing to be noted here is that such performances should be carried out with great care. There is no chance of a mistake as it may prove fatal.
The Raipur couple could have gotten seriously injured but thankfully, they got away with just minor injuries. It stands as an example for people to be extra careful with performances that involve stunts or chances of injury.
