Boxing champion Mary Kom has made history by breaking world records and taking home a sixth gold medal at the World Championship, but boxing is not Mary Kom's only talent. Nobody knew this fierce woman's additional hidden talent until her singing video went viral in 2019. The footage is resurfacing again on the microblogging site, and Twitterati couldn't stop themselves.

Although the champion has consistently displayed her talent in the ring, she gave the world a sneak preview of her singing abilities. When Kom performed What's Up by the American rock group 4 Non-Blondes at the 2019 GoaFest, a three-day annual celebration of the best works of advertising and media in India, her fans were in wonder.

As the video resurfaced and went viral once again, users on Twitter were also praising the multi-talented avatar of the sportswoman. Earlier, Raghu Raman reposted the video and wrote, "What's going on? Listen to this lady sing.. She may seem unfamiliar cos she's ungloved! Hint! She packs a mean punch!" Harsh Goenka tweeted, "Mary Kom, six time women's world boxing champion and Olympic medallist is an inspiration to all of us. See her in a role of a singer...."

A Twitter user remarked, "Impressive.  What a voice. Love her and the song is one of my favorites since my teenage years." Another user tweeted, "This is song called 'What's Up' by 4 Non blondes. The lyrics echo her struggle in a manly sport like boxing. 'I realized quickly when I knew I should That the world was made up of this brotherhood of man For whatever that means...' Beautifully sung, Mary Kom!" One of the users wrote, "Wow, Barely knew when I started humming along. It’s a combination of right hook and punch on the nose!"

On the professional front, last month, the Olympic medalist that she was retiring and insisted that she still wanted to compete because she wanted to represent her country. The last time Mary Kom was spotted in a boxing ring competing internationally was at the Tokyo Olympics last year, where she was defeated by Colombian Ingrit Valencia by a 3:2 split decision in the pre-quarterfinals.
