Siddhesh Lokare, a digital creator, shared an Instagram reel featuring an elderly couple, Bhimrao and Shobha, who frequently visit Thane Railway Station to sell snacks. The heartwarming video, now viral with millions of views, beautifully captures their love story.
When asked about their marriage, Bhimrao shared the exact date, and Shobha added that they’ve been together for over four decades. They visit the station daily to sell calendars and snacks like chakli, laddoos, and bhakarwadi. Despite Bhimrao being visually impaired since age 2, and Shobha having a deformed hand, their love and support for each other shine through.
When the vlogger asked Shobha if she hesitated to marry Bhimrao despite his blindness, she sweetly replied, "Of course not! We imagine ourselves in each other's shoes." Bhimrao added, "I am visually impaired, her hand is deformed; we thought we'd complete each other." Shobha affirmed they would always be together.
Bhimrao also shared how he helps Shobha by cutting vegetables, and Shobha proudly said, "He cuts better than chefs." Their story is an inspiring example of resilience and unconditional love.
The vlogger asked the couple what love means to them, to which they replied, "At this stage, we need each other more than ever. We might fight, but we can’t stay apart even for two minutes. It's like home—utensils may collide, but they’ll never break." This heartfelt response resonated deeply, delivering a powerful message to the younger generation.
When asked about their current need, Shobha expressed, "We just need a stall so we don’t have to stand all day."
Finally, when asked for a message for the current generation, Bhimrao shared his wisdom: "Hard work is everything. You can’t live just for yourself. If you live for others, you have truly lived!"
This viral video has got more than 900k likes on Instagram. Netizens love their heartwarming love story. While some were ready to contribute to building a stall for them, many found it a blessing to have a love like Bhimrao and Shobha.
