Astrid shared that although Copenhagen is a popular tourist city known for its beauty and modern lifestyle, it had started to feel dull for her. In her Instagram post, she wrote, "I needed a change. It felt like there was nothing left for me in Copenhagen. I loved my job, my apartment, and my friends, but I was so bored of the city…"

One of her biggest struggles was the long winters and cold weather in Denmark. She explained, "It’s only fun in the summer! The rest of the time, we’re all just waiting for summer, and it feels like such a sleepy place."

Feeling stuck, Esmeralda made a big choice. She wrote on her video, "Quit everything, sold it all, and moved to India."

Since then, she has travelled across India, visiting places like Rishikesh, Goa, and Mumbai. Through these journeys, she has explored the country and discovered new things about herself. On Instagram, she shared, "Now in India, I feel soooo alive!!!! India has opened my eyes to so much." She went on to say, "First of all, I’ve fallen in love with a country that’s so diverse, wild, and beautiful. I’ve fallen in love with the culture, the people, and the nature."

Living in India, Astrid says she’s experienced moments that changed her outlook on life. "India has shown me new sides of myself, awakened my dreams, and given me trust in my journey. It’s also shown me the real effects of karma."
