Jealous US Woman Sets Boyfriend's House On Fire

A woman in Texas, United States broke into her boyfriend’s house and set it on fire after another woman answered his phone.

23-year-old Senaida Marie Soto was arrested on charges of burglary of a habitation and arson. The incident took place on November 20. Soto broke into her boyfriend’s house, stole several items and set the house on fire.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, the Lytle Fire Department and the Bexar County Fire Marshal’s Office responded to an arson call at the home in San Antonio, Texas.

Woman Sets Boyfriend's House On Fire

The police said that Soto was in a romantic relationship with a family member of the homeowner. She video-called her boyfriend but another woman answered his phone. The other woman turned out to be a relative of the boyfriend.

In a fit of jealousy, Soto broke into her boyfriend’s house and lit the couch in the living room on fire. A video of the fire was recorded, in which Soto can be seen lighting the couch on fire, which led to the house going up in flames.

The arson cost the family a damage of over 50,000 dollars (around 40,00,000 rupees) worth of property. She was arrested by the police on charges of burglary of a habitation and arson.

After setting the house aflame, Soto reportedly texted her boyfriend and said, “I hope your house is okay”.
