Claims of Long-Term Abuse

Ann Altman’s lawsuit alleges that the abuse began in 1997 when she was under five years old, continuing until 2006. During this period, Sam Altman, who was nearing his teenage years at the time the abuse started, allegedly manipulated and groomed his sister into believing that she initiated the acts.

The legal filing categorises the allegations under two counts: sexual assault and sexual battery, with $75,000 sought in damages for each count. The lawsuit paints a grim picture of ongoing manipulation and trauma, as highlighted by Ann Altman’s lawyer, Ryan Mahoney.

Mental Health Concerns and Financial Accusations

The Altman family has denied the allegations, calling them “utterly untrue.” In a joint statement, Sam Altman, his siblings Jack and Max, and their mother expressed their anguish over the claims. They attributed Ann Altman’s actions to unresolved mental health issues, criticising her reluctance to pursue treatment.

The family further contested the financial aspects of Ann’s claims, pointing out that she receives regular financial support. They accused her of making additional monetary demands while lashing out at family members who they claim have tried to support her.
