Priyanka’s husband, Nick Jonas, accompanied her, and the couple graced the red carpet together. Priyanka was seen in a shimmering gown, while Nick wore a black blazer paired with trousers and a white shirt. Sharing moments from the event, Priyanka expressed her appreciation on social media: "Thank you for the wonderful honor, Red Sea Film Festival. Congratulations to all the winners and participants. Here's to continually bringing the world of entertainment together.”
Her Heartfelt Speech on Stage
On receiving the award, Priyanka delivered an inspiring speech that highlighted her journey and the evolution of global cinema. She began by thanking Sarah Jessica Parker: "You are such an icon to so many of us. Thank you for taking the time to say those kind words about me and my work over the years. It meant a lot to me."
Reflecting on her earlier days in the industry, Priyanka said, "When I started working, I was 18 years old. I come from an industry that spoke Hindi and Telugu, basically non-English films. I remember when I was seeking work across borders, and I was told that non-English films do not travel. Yet, we are here today. You have been able to create a safe, incredible space for filmmakers and storytellers around the world to come together without the thought of nationality, language, and borders."
Priyanka also paid tribute to her late father, whose love for entertaining deeply influenced her career. "My father was the first entertainer I ever knew. I lost him in 2013, but he showed me how much joy there is in being the person in the middle of a party. He showed me how unabashed entertainment can be, how to be confident and vulnerable at the same time."
She concluded with gratitude for her husband, Nick, saying, "My wonderful husband is here, waiting to escort me down, the gentleman that he is." Priyanka also congratulated the winners, filmmakers, and participants, celebrating the festival for uniting the world through cinema.
