California based King took to TikTok to share the embarrassing incident via a video. The video got viral in a quick, counting around 12 million views.

"And then imagine someone receiving an invitation… ‘Derek Eye Roll.’ He received an invitation [and] ‘Jess Hit Her Car In Parking Lot."

King, the mother, shares the details of the incident in thevideo,"I just made an Evite for my daughter’s first birthday party and on Evite it says, ‘Import contacts’ and I thought it meant import to select through."

However, unfortunately, it all didn't go as planned and the turnout was a collision.

“No—it imported all 487 of my contacts and invited them to this birthday party,” continued King. “Not only did it invite my boss, all of my coworkers (and) all of the people that have ever been stored in my phone but it sent invitations based (on) how they are stored in my phone.”

“I want you to just take a second and think about everyone stored in your phone and how they’re stored in your phone,” she said. “And then imagine someone receiving an invitation. ‘Derek Eye Roll,’ he received an invitation. ‘Jess Hit Her Car In Parking Lot.’”

“Anyways, I have to quit or get a new identity,” said King. “I don’t even know," she expressed her embarrassment.

Although she was able to delete the invite just a few minutes later she says, “All the blood drained from my body.”

A series of funny and weird comments came uo on the video. This ought to make you eligible for witness protection, according to one response.

"How did Evite create that feature and think 'yeah this is what people want as a result?'" was written by another commenter who concurred.

Joking about the horrible contact names on their own phones and what may have happened if they had been in King's shoes, other commenters made jokes.

One individual commented, "I would die if 'Mark STILL OWES ME 100' came to my son's bday."

King explained that she was lucky enough to not have all 487 people RSVP to the party, assuming her phone contacts either were aware of her mistake or were too embarrassed to do anything.

Evite sent King and her family a $250 gift card to DoorDash to cater food for the party, as a token of apology.

While using electronic systems have become quite an easy going task, incidents like this teach us to be careful and conscious while taking up to them.
