Singer Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley, passed away at the age of 54 due to cardiac arrest on Thursday, January 12.

Lisa Marie Presley suffered a cardiac arrest in her home in the Los Angeles suburb of Calabasas, and she was immediately rushed to the hospital. The musician passed away on Thursday at the age of 54.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” said her mother Priscilla Presley in a statement.

  • Lisa Marie Presley is an American singer-songwriter. She was born in 1968 and was the only child of singer-actor Elvis Presley and actor Priscilla Presley.
  • She became the sole heir to her father’s estate after his demise in 1977.
  • Presley began her music career in 2003 with her debut album, To Whom It May Concern. In 2005, she released her next album, Now What. Both of these albums debuted in the top ten of the Billboard 200 album chart. Her third album, Strom and Grace, was released in 2012.
  • Apart from her career in music, she was also actively involved in philanthropic and humanitarian activities. She was the chairperson of the Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation (EPCF). In 2011, Lisa Marie Presley was honoured by the Governor of Tennessee, Bill Haslam, in recognition of her charitable efforts.
  • Lisa Marie Presley was married four times. Her first marriage was to musician Danny Keough. 20 days after her divorce from her first spouse, she married pop star Michael Jackson in 1994. They divorced two years later, in 1996. She then married Nicholas Cage, an ardent fan of her father, in 2002. The couple divorced four months later. Her fourth marriage was with her music producer and guitarist, Michael Lockwood, in 2006. They divorced in 2021.
  • Lisa Presley had four children. Her daughter, Riley Keough, 33, is an actress. Benjamin Keough, her son, died in 2020 at the age of 27. Her two other daughters are twins, Harper and Finley Lockwood, both 14 years old.
  • Lisa Presley made her final public appearance at the 80th Golden Globe Awards on January 10, just a few days before her unfortunate demise.
