Married last year, the woman was allegedly burnt alive by her husband and his parents over dowry demands. The incident took place on Wednesday, June 8. The accused have been arrested by the police at the Chandapa police station.

As per an NDTV report a CBI chargesheet in the case shows many lapses. The 19-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly gangraped by men of an upper caste in Hathras in Uttar Pradesh.

It bench said, “This action of the State Authorities, though in the name of law and order situation, is prima facie an infringement upon the human rights of the victim.”

The late survivor’s family, UP’s Home Secretary, and DGP will appear before the bench.

She was taken into the college where she had gone with her friend. Her male friend was beaten up by half a dozen men before she was raped.

The need of the hour is to clear the area and give maximum space to Dalit women to speak.

Talking about the gangrape of a 19-year-old Dalit woman, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said caste was deeprooted in Uttar Pradesh. He also revealed his grandmother was from a backward caste and that his family was discriminated

Report of this rape incident comes amid mounting anger and tensions in Uttar Pradesh, specifically Hathras, following the gangrape and subsequent death of a 19-year-old Dalit girl on September 29.
