Rachana Banerjee's real name is Jhumjhum Banerjee and she has acted not just in Bengali but Odia, Tamil, Telegu and Kannada films.
Didi No.1 catapulted her to popularity and the show is now in its eighth season. The game show for women In Bengali was launched in 2010. It airs six days a week.
The actor recently turned entrepreneur and held an online session where she also explained how to order her creations.

She is the winner of several beauty contests, including, Miss Beautiful Smile at the Miss India contest. She was 1994 Miss Kolkata.
Banerjee was married to actor-politician Sidhant Mohapatra. They ended their marriage at a family court in Cuttack in 2004. Since they both have moved on. She married Probal Basu in 2007.
Rachana Banerjee debuted in the Odia movie Sagar Ganga directed by Raju Mishra.
Banerjee has also acted opposite Amitabh Bachchan in the movie Sooryavansham.
