Actor Rasik Dave No More: What We Know About His Wife Ketki Dave

Actor Rasik Dave passed away, aged 65 on July 29 due to kidney failure. He is survived by his wife Ketki Dave and two children, Riddhi and Abhishek Dave. The actor was a known face in both Hindi and Gujarati film and television industries. His last rites will be conducted on Saturday and will be attended by friends and family members.

Rasik Dave started his career back in 1982, making his debut with the Gujarati film'Putra Vadhu.' Working in both the Hindi and Gujarati industries, he was fondly known as Rasik Bhai. He was married to Ketki Dave for over two decades, the two even featured together on Nach Baliye in the year 2006. Rasik was well known among Hindi television viewers for his roles in Mahabharat, Byomkesh Bakshi and others. He had been suffering from a kidney ailment for quite some time now and was on dialysis for over two years.

Talking about their marriage, and how their love for theatre and each other transpired into a beautiful companionship, Ketki Dave in an interview stated, "I think it was our passion for theatre and acting that brought us together. She further added, "He's one of those fathers who are actively involved in their kids' life. He wants to be with them, and know what they are doing. And he never ever asked me to give up work and look after the kids at home."

Rasik Dave and Ketki Dave have two children together- daughter Riddhi Dave, who is also an actor, and a son, Abhishek Dave. Rasik and Ketki Dave, own a Gujarati theatre company, as the couple was very fond of theatre and acting. In an interview talking about their relationship, Rasik Dave said, "I don't know whether I should call it love at first sight, but we always wanted to be with each other. We enjoyed each other's company. However, the struggle and problems which we faced initially made us understand each other well and brought us closer as friends."

Ketki Dave is a well-known name in the TV industry. She rose to fame through her character Daksha in the popular serial 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. Born to Sarita Joshi, an actor, and Praveen Joshi a theatre director, Ketki inherited the love for theatre and acting from her parents. Her sister Purbi Joshi is also an actor. Ketki Dave has also worked in films like Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya, Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, Kal Ho Naa Ho, and Hello! Hum Lallan Bol Rahe Hain. The actor also has over 20 Television shows to her credit, featuring in popular shows like Nach Baliye 2, Bigg Boss 2, Behenein, Pavitra Rishta, and others.
