Who is Ashwini Revanath: A producer in Kannada Film Industry, Ashwini Revanath had been married for two decades to the Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar, who passed away on October 29 morning due to a heart attack. The couple also has two daughters- Dhrithi and Vanditha.

Even though the couple maintained a low public profile, according to the news media, they met each other through a friend and spent months together before tying a knot. It was difficult for the couple at first. But later in an interview, the superstar revealed how he spoke with his parents about marrying Ashwini.
As per reports, Rajkumar's daughter is a student who goes to school in the USA. The family was waiting for her to reach India so that Rajkumar can be cremated. Heartbreaking visuals were shared from the cremation site in which the late actor's daughter Dhruti was seen paying tributes to her father. Rajkumar's funeral will be held on October 31.
"I had never spoken to them so freely and openly about such matters. It was the first time I stood before my father and told him that I wanted to marry this girl I loved," the actor had revealed. Soon things fell in place for him but Ashwini's parents took time to get convinced of the prospect of marriage. However, the persuasion ended well and they got married.
Puneeth lived in a joint family with thirty family members, Ashwini lived with him there. Ashwini is a known producer now but back then she had no interest in pursuing films. Although living with Rajkumar also made her fascinated about the industry and she ended up producing films for the late actor. Not just producing, reports suggest that she even chose his costumes from time to time.
This massive support by Ashwini did not go unhighlighted by her partner, Rajkumar said in an interview that whatever they are, they are because of her (Ashwini). She was the one who built the business and took care of it.
Ashwini's support to Puneeth was not just in terms of her effort to maintain the business but also to share her determination with her husband, who felt that her persistence and courage is what made his films boost.

Puneeth Rajkumar was an important part of the Kannada film industry, his sudden demise had not just shaken the industry but also the fans who lined up to catch the last glimpse of their superstar. The 46-year-old actor was reportedly working out in his gym when he complained of chest pains and was immediately taken to the Vikram Hospital for treatment in the intensive care unit. The actor was pronounced dead at 2:30 in the afternoon.
The last rites were supposed to be performed on October 30, today, but due to the growing crowd and the delay in Puneeth's daughter's return from the United States, the authorities have suggested holding the final rites on Sunday, October 31.
