Puneeth Rajkumar-Ashwini Revanath Lovestory: Puneeth Rajkumar, an actor loved and respected by many, passed away at the age of 46 due to a fatal cardiac arrest on October 29, 2021. He was called Appu by his fans and followers and is survived by his two daughters and wife Ashwini Revanath.

As per media reports, Rajkumar will be cremated after his daughter returns from the US. Vanditha Rajkumar has reportedly reached Delhi. The Karnataka CM while speaking to the media spoke about the delay in cremation and said that the last rites will be held on October 31 instead of Saturday. The rituals have also been postponed because of the growing crowd willing to pay their respects to the late actor.
According to many accounts of their relationship, the couple met through common friends after Rajkumar completed his studies. They first became friends then dated for a year before getting married in 1999.
During his interview with Metrolife, the actor said that he stood up before his father for the first time when he told him that he wanted to a marry girl named Ashwini. The couple stayed in a joint family of 30 members after their marriage and remained away from the limelight.
Ashwini in one interview was quoted saying, "I am a little egotistic and don’t give in so easily but Puneeth brings me around and soon our differences become no differences at all.” She had added that she is proud to be married into the Rajkumar family.
She has also shared in the past that she was never a movie buff and had only watched a few films in which Puneeth had acted.
The actor respected her wife's take on his performances and called her his best critic. She even pointed out the scenes in which he overacted or when his dance of fight sequences were not up to the mark. His kids and family would to accompany him to his film shoots all the time. According to reports, Ashwini also picked out Rajkumar's costumes most of the time.

The actor supported his wife when she took part in their home productions and in many public statements he praised his wife for her work ethic. He once said, "She has made us what we are. She built the business and brought us thus far. It’s her determination, persistence and courage that have given us a boost." The couple used to spend their time together travelling around the world, reading and shopping.
