Where To Watch Dhamaka: Ram Madhvani-directed thriller Dhamaka starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead as a journalist is set to release on OTT. The shooting of this remake of the Korean film The Terror Live took only 10 days in December 2021. Mrunal Thakur, Amruta Subhash and Vishwajeet Pradhan form the star cast of the film.

It was about to release on theatres but has now settled on an OTT premiere. Kartik Aaryan can be seen stepping into the shoes of Arjun Pathak, "a cynical ex-TV news anchor" as described by the trailer. Some old reports suggest that Dhamaka was earlier meant to be a woman. In fact, Bollywood actors like Taapsee Pannu and Kriti Senon were considered for the roles of a journalist in place of Aryan. However, Aaryan bagged the role later. Interestingly, Dhamaka is his first OTT film release.

However, things slowly start slipping out of Arjun’s hands, after the terrorists demands that he call the state’s chief minister to the studio, who must then offer an apology. If his demands are not met, the terrorists threatens to blow up the entire city. Caught in the cross fire is Arjun’s estranged wife. How will Arjun tackle this situation?
