While not much is know about the film’s plot, it is touted to be about a man who is seeking revenge out on a chase at night in a desolate area. His intentions have widespread repercussions for the people living in the area, forcing them to analyse their own past actions and their relationship with God.
Apart from Sukumaran, the film also features actors Roshan Mathew, Murali Gopy, Shine Tom Chacko, Srindaa, Manikanda Rajan, Mamukkoya, Naslen Gafoor, Sagar Surya and Navas Vallikkunnu in important roles.
Directed by Manu Warrior, the film has been produced by Sukumaran’s wife Supriya Menon, under the banner Prithviraj Productions. The film has been written by Anish Pallyal, while Jakes Bejoy has given music and background score for the film.
Speaking about her role in the film, actor Srindaa said in an interview that her character Sumathi is both layered and intense. “It was interesting and challenging for me at the same time, as I’ve never done a character like that before,” said the actor. Srindaa further added that the film was shot shortly after the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. “So, in everyday, Kuruthi was like a new hope. There was this excitement of playing a very important role, as I’ve never done that in my career before,” said Srindaa, who is know for her work in films like Annayum Rasoolum, Sherlock Toms, Popcorn, 1983 and Paapam Cheyyathavar Kalleriyatte.
