In Dhamaka, Aaryan plays the role of Arjun Pathak, a news anchor who loses his television spot and ends up hosting a radio show. During a live session, Pathak receives an anonymous call followed by a bomb blast. The caller promises more such explosions if his demands are not met.
Pathak uses the leverage of having an exclusive interview with the culprit to get back his television spot on Bharosa 24*7 whose head blatantly tells him that she is only interested in selling the news. The caller wants a high profile minister to come on air and apologise.
Things turn personal when Arjun realises that the life of his ex-wife Saumya is now on the line as she is trapped with other people in the area where the caller has promised to carry out blasts.
