Sherni release date: The trailer of Sherni was unveiled on June 2, along with the film's release date. Shot in the jungles of Madhya Pradesh, Vidya Balan starrer film will have an OTT release on Prime Video.

While the teaser for the upcoming film was released on June 1, the trailer was released a few days later. Actor Vidya Balan took to her social media channels and shared the trailer. Balan plays the character of a forest officer named Vidya in Sherni.
“Be courageous. Be strong. Be fearless. It’s time for #Sherni to roar!” wrote Balan in the caption of her post, which also revealed that the film will start streaming from June 18.
Sherni had previously made headlines during its shooting in November last year. The shooting for the film was reportedly suspended after Balan apparently turned down an invitation for dinner from Madhya Pradesh Minister Vijay Shah. The Forest Minister of Madhya Pradesh, however, denied the allegations that were made against him. Actor Vijay Raaz from the cast also arrested and later released on bail the same month, after a fellow female crew member of Sherni filed a case of molestation against him.
Vidya Balan, the lead actor of the film, has started the promotions for the Sherni. She recently took to her Instagram handle and posted a picture of herself wearing a saree designed by Saugat Paul. Sticking to the theme, her outfit had imprints of fauna on it.
Release Date
Directed by Amit Masurkar and produced by T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment, Sherni is set for a June 18 digital release.

Sherni will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video platform. Anyone with an Prime Video subscription will be able to watch the film from June 18.
Title Song
The title song of the film was also released prior to the films release as a build up. The song titled Main Sherni has been sung by AKASA along with rapper and lyricist Raftaar. The lyrics for the song have been written by Raghav and Utkarsh Dhotekar has composed the music.
"The song is dedicated to all the women. You are resilient and remarkable. We honour your spirit," says the caption for its music video."
