The Whistleblower Release Date: A new TV series titled ‘The Whistleblower’ is all set to release online. According to reports, it has about 9 - 10 episodes. It is a series set with the backdrop of scams that revolved the medical colleges.
What is the show based on?
It is based on the Vyapam scam of 2013 that rigged medical entrance exams and medical college admissions in North and Central India. It involved massive amount of money and several influential politicians and public servants were reportedly involved. There were also several unexplained deaths of witnesses and whistleblowers and more than 1700 people were arrested.
The official synopsis of the show reads:
“Education is one of the top businesses in India, and PMT scam is one of those serial scams in Education that gives wings to scammers who use Proxy and contacts for paper leaks and planned cheating. The series is based on PMT Scam 2013.

The series stars Sonali Kulkarni, Ritwik Bhowmik, Ravi Kishan, Sachin Khedekar, Ankita Sharma and Hemant Kher.
In an interview with Freepress Journal, Actor Sonali Kulkari said, “This show is going to blow a whistle in everyone’s mind, ear, heart to be an alert citizen and human being. We always feel we don’t have time for other things, especially during our personal errands. This is the time to ponder. Just because you have luxury around you doesn’t mean you are supposed to sync into it.”
