The Whistleblower is a series set with the backdrop of scams that revolved the medical colleges. Starring Sonali Kulkarni, Ritwik Bhowmik, Ravi Kishan, Sachin Khedekar, Ankita Sharma and Hemant Kher the show is all set to release on 16th December.

The series is set against the backdrop of the year 2013 that witness several examination scams in medical colleges. Created and written by Ajay Monga, the show is directed by Manoj Pillai. The 2013 scam is known as the Vyapam Scam that rigged medical entrance exams and medical college admissions in North and Central India. It involved massive amount of money and several influential politicians and public servants were reportedly involved. There were also several unexplained deaths of witnesses and whistleblowers and more than 1700 people were arrested.
The trailer of the show was released a few days back, shows actor Ravi Kishan who believes in fulfilling the dreams of people and runs the syndicate which ensures seats in medical colleges in exchange of money. It talks about how the entire machinery involved such as leaking papers, proxy and engine-boggie arrangements. There are middle men who are involved in leaking the papers, how in a proxy an impersonator appears as the candidate. Actor Ritwik Bhowmik gained immense popularity after the success of his show Bandish Bandits. Bhowmik is the one investigating the corruption and fraudulent system.
Actor Sonali Kulkari spoke about the show to Freepress Journal saying, "This show is going to blow a whistle in everyone’s mind, ear, heart to be an alert citizen and human being. We always feel we don’t have time for other things, especially during our personal errands. This is the time to ponder. Just because you have luxury around you doesn’t mean you are supposed to sync into it."
