Shilpa Shetty in Raj Kundra porn case: The Mumbai police officials stated on July 27 that Shetty hasn't been given a clean chit yet concerning her involvement in the porn racket. However, the officials had stated previously that they found no evidence suggesting her involvement in the same.

The Bombay High court on Tuesday rejected the plea in which Kundra sought for release in the porn racket alleging illegal arrest.

Kundra challenged his arrest, terming it "illegal", however, the Mumbai High Court in response, refused to grant ad-interim relief to the businessman.

• The Mumbai High Court denied Kundra's custody to the investigating Mumbai police crime branch. The said court pronounced the order after Kundra's plea. Along with Kundra, Associate Ryan Thorpe has also been remanded to custody.
• Raj Kundra was arrested on July 17 over his alleged involvement in making and distributing pornographic content. The police have stated Kundra to be a key conspirator in the case and that they have enough evidence against him. However, according to a statement made on July 20, the police have found no evidence of Shilpa Shetty's involvement yet.
• Reportedly, Kundra's production house lured aspiring actors into porn films under the guise of working in web series. The actors were directed to do bold scenes which later turned into semi-nude scenes or nude scenes against their will.
• The crime branch added that Kundra's brother in law Pradeep Bakshi was used as the face of the racket, however, all the functioning of the concerned app was allegedly looked after by Kundra himself.
• The police also found crucial WhatsApp messages during the investigation, according to the same, Kundra made a group called H AAcounts which included Bakshi, content head of Hotshot Raw Evans, Digital Marketing Hotshot Rob, and accounts manager Megha Viaan.
