Shamita Shetty note to sister Shilpa Shetty: Actor Shilpa Shetty's younger sister Shamita recently shared a note for her elder sibling, who is dealing with arrest of her husband Raj Kundra. Shetty's husband was arrested earlier this week in connection with an alleged porn app case . Amidst the controversy, Shetty made a comeback to Hindi films after a gap of 14 years, with the OTT release of Hungama 2 on Friday. "Uve emerged stronger!… this too shall pass my darling (sic)," Shamita wrote, congratulating her sister for her latest release.
Calling Shilpa her "darling Munki", Shamita wished her all the best for the release of her comeback film after 14 years. "I know Uve put in a lot of effort into this one (sic)," Shamita added in her post. She assured Shilpa Shetty that she will be with her "always", adding, "Uve gone through a lot of Ups n downs in life & 1thing I knw 4 sure..Uve emerged stronger!… this too shall pass my darling (sic)."
Earlier taking to her social media handle as well, Shilpa Shetty had requested fans and well-wishers to watch her upcoming film. She wrote that Hungama 2 involves the relentless efforts of an entire team and everybody worked very hard to make a good film. "The film shouldn’t suffer," she urged viewers, amidst the ongoing controversy related to her husband's alleged connection in the porn app case.
On Saturday, she reportedly showed support for her husband, claiming that the company was not involved in making "porn". The actor allegedly told the police that the videos in question could be categorised as "erotica", not porn. The report further claims that she had dissociated herself from Kundra’s entire business, also adding that she wasn’t aware of porn videos as claimed by the police.
A Mumbai court on Friday sent the businessman and his associate Ryan Thorpe to police custody till July 27 in connection with a case related to the production of pornographic films. The Mumbai police also recorded Shilpa's statement on July 23 and a raid was conducted at their Juhu house on the same day. Follow the case here.
