Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to social media on November 15 to share her first look from her upcoming film Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal which will release in two languages.
Introducing her character in the film, Prabhu wrote in her tweet, "Khatija Heart suit. Can’t wait for you’ll to watch this one."
Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film also features Vijay Sethpathi and Nayanthara, apart from Prabhu. Sethupathi introduced the first look of his character RAMBO or Ranjankudi Anbarasu Murugesa Boopathy Ohoondhiran. on social media today.
The first look of Nayanthara's character hasn't been released as of yet. A bilingual romantic film, which will be released in Tamil and Telugu, the film will feature Anirudh Ravichander's music.
Not much has been revealed about the release plans of this film. Previous reports had suggested that Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal could have a direct OTT release, skipping the theatres altogether. However, the recently released first look posters of the film have confirmed that the film will have a theatrical release in December. will the film opt for a Christmas release, just like Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan Laal Singh Chaddha, that remains to be seen.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu was in news earlier this year, when she announced separation from her husband Naga Chaitanya on October 2. Prior to the announcement of the split, the actor had dropped her matrimonial surname "Akkineni" from all her social media handles. The Prabhu and Chaitanya had been married for four years.
After the split, Prabhu opened up about facing moral policing and character assassination on social media due to her separation. Several rumours were circulating about the actor post her separation, alleging that she didn't want to have children, had affairs and that she had had abortions. Opening up about targetted in such a manner, she wrote, "A divorce in itself is an extremely painful process. Let alone me the time to heal, this attack on me personally has been relentless."
